Yesterday I went to the Suffolk Blogger Meet Up Event, organised by the wonderful Daisy from DaisyDaisy.co.uk. I've never been to a meet up like this before, so wasn't really sure what to expect, but I cannot stress how much hard work Daisy put into every single detail. From the most amazing looking trays of Hotel Chocolat chocolates & various coconut waters on every table, to super cute cookies and a whole load of miniature candles to help yourself to. The gorgeous Lucy from Lucys Henna, was also there & worked her magic on me with the little bad boy in the photo above. By the time I left the venue I was barely able to walk, mainly because the chocolate liquors had at least a shot of whisky in each one, but also because the goody bags were so massive. It felt just like a bizarre Christmas morning where a really camp Santa had left me cosmetics and skin care a'plenty!
I went all by myself (queue Celine Dion) but met so many lovely bloggers. Mary Ann from Angel Flicks Beauty Blog, was an absolute dream and we had so much fun chatting away. I don't want to sounds like a soppy old sausage, but it's so nice to be in a room full of people that don't know each other, but all have something in common to talk about. It's so refreshing, and one of the reasons I love blogging so much (besides it being an excuse to shop!) is that is really is such a supportive little community. Like the Amish, but more fashionable and with a lot more social media involved.
My favourite home ware brand Ivy Joan was also there, you can probably tell I'm a slight fan by the fact that most of my photos are of the Ivy Joan stand. I've posted about my love for Ivy Joan before, which if you didn't see you can have a sneaky peak right here. If you haven't started your Christmas shopping yet this website is the most perfect place for one off and personalised gifts. They have everything from the cutest wooden letters (which are only £3!) to vintage furniture and playing card wall art. The personalised baubles are a fave of mine, they're going straight in my basket! As well as home ware, they also stock vintage and high street clothing from Neon Rose & Vero Moda. I used to work at Vero Moda & had such a great time there, so it has a fond place in my little heart. It's a Danish brand, and you don't really see it stocked in many places over here, so Ivy Joan is now my go to place to get my Vero Moda fix!
So to conclude, thank you Daisy for a fab day... I hope there will be many more to come!
