MADDOX

Asos Maddox Jeans  | Asos Sandals (similar)  | Primark Belt | Zara Bucket Bag | Asos Top

I've become a bit obsessed with boyfriend/mom jeans lately, and Asos is my go to place for my denim at the moment. I used to be a Topshop jeans kinda gal, but now a days I'm so between sizes in there, I can't get them to fit me properly... especially the Topshop 'mom' jeans. These Asos beauties are am absolute steal to at £13! I would advise you to go a size down if you're thinking of investing in a pair, the waist comes up a tad on the large side, and no one likes a gappy back.

HIDDEN FASHION

If you havent already discovered Hidden Fashion it's an absolute gem of a website. I must admit, when I came across them on instagram and visited the online store, I couldn't really believe that everything is £5. It's insane and seems to good to be true, but they've got some absolute treasures... their footwear being one! When I was sent a lovely email to see if I would like to try out a couple of bits, I obviously jumped at the chance and being really interested in their bargain shoes I chose these two pieces. They arrived beautifully packaged, which you might have seen on my instagram feed, and are stocked by a brand called Truffle. Truffle footwear is stocked at a lot of high quality popular online stores (for a lot more!) so I was really pleasantly surprised. It really is worth a visit to find some key trend pieces at a mere £5!
Let me know what you find.

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY

I'm not really into all this whole Fifty Shades of Grey shabang... maybe it's because I haven't read the book, but then again I've never read a book in my life (sad but true.) Although I am for sure in to grey. Just grey. I've always been drawn to anything grey,I once counted my grey basic t.shirts and had about 20. Woops. So what better opportunity to share a few of my current grey lustings under this amusing little title.
To appreciate the full beauty of this Warehouse jacket, you need to take a peek at Hannah Crosskey's post over on A Fashion Fix. It's where I recently saw it and have been obsessing about it ever since. I've looked at it nearly every day, again very sad, but a sure fire sign that I must have it. I don't think the website really does it justice, Hannah has styled it to absolute perfection over on her blog.

VALENTINES

I don't know about you, but I had a lovely Valentines weekend. I worked all day Saturday, but I didn't mind because I like looking forward to finishing when I'm doing something nice. We're not really the sort to be fancy and get dressed up to go out (believe it or not) so we had a nice evening in and cooked a meal together. We were both off on the Sunday to, which is quite rare, so after a little lay in we had a jolly little day together in sunny Cambridge. We had sushi, went for a stroll & had a drink next to the river. I tried really hard to stay away from the shops... but I did have a sneaky peak in Zara. I wish I hadn't. There was so much I wanted and the funds are dyer this month. Bad move Helen.
But all round... a lovely weekend.

FEBRUARY WISH LIST

Traipsing through Net-A-Porter for hours after finding this incredible tote bag has really made me realise that I need to up my game with the old lottery. Those tickets just aren't going to buy themselves, and there's a fair few things on the website that I have now convinced myself that I cannot go without any longer. These Gianvito Rossi boots being another!

Sigh.

TREAT WEEK

So as I mentioned a bit in a recent post, I have been feeling a bit uninspired by clothes recently... something that is a very rare occurrence! Although my very favourite thing I have brought lately is my fringed suede jacket, so I have been living in it since I got it. I think maybe I need to flick through a few magazines to get the old creative juices flowing, or maybe fashion week will give me a boost.
As I haven't been clothes shopping, I went make-up shopping with one of my gal palls at the weekend, something I don't really do as I have a bit of an irrational fear about going to shops like MAC. I think I'm a bit intimidated by the beautiful people who work there with immaculate make up and glowy faces. I feel like they will judge my messy hair and uneven eyeliner, but the lady who did my make up was so lovely. It was the Cambridge store, just in case you are wondering... and I would certainly go back. She made my make-up artist fear disappear and matched me up with exactly what I was after... and a tad more! I ended up spending a small bomb and felt slightly guilty for about 30 seconds, but I love everything I got and will definitely be buying more next month. It really feels like a breath of fresh air to completely over haul my make up regime!

FRINGING

This might just be the biggest bargain I have ever found... even bigger than the Levis I'm wearing here, and wanged on about in my last outfit post.
I had been lusting after this suede jacket from Zara for ages, but it was £129... £129 that I can't justify. Then the other day I was having a casual browse on the old world wide web, with I stubbed across it for £39! Holy Moly! What with fringing going to be everywhere this year I thought it was cracking investment piece.

Well done me.
That's all I can say on the matter.
